The Scout Small Messenger Bag PDF Sewing Pattern

This is a PDF sewing pattern not an actual product. This is a digital item that you will download using Adobe Acrobat Reader which is free on the internet. 

The Scout is an attractive bag for anyone. You can make it out of a variety of materials depending on what your sewing machine can handle. 

The Scout measures 9" wide x 7 3/4" high x 3 1/4" deep

Sewing experience Level: Intermediate to advanced

The Scout has:

-3 Slip Pockets

-1 to 2 Zipper Pockets

-6 credit card pockets

AND two different flap sizes as well as the option to add a recessed zipper or leave the wider flap to cover the top opening to keep your items safe inside. 

You need the  following materials to make this bag:

2: 1 1/2" rectangle rings

6: 9mm matching double-capped rivets

1: 1 1/2" matching strap slide adjuster

1: Decorative magnet closure for the front flap

5 Zipper tape 12" and 7" long

2: #5 zipper pulls

1: Matching zipper end

Optional: Bag Tag, edge paint

1/3-yard of 60"-wide or 12" x 60"-long1/2-yard  roll of vinyl

1/2-yard 60"-wide waterproof canvas" WOF Decovil Light

1/3-yard of SF101 medium weight interfacing

For the All vinyl bag you need 1/3-yard of 60" wide or a 12" roll x 60" vinyl; 1/2-yard 60"-wide waterproof canvas and 12" WOF Decovil Light.

For the part vinyl/part woven bag you need 1/3-yard of 60"-wide or 12" x 60" long roll of vinyl/faux leather; 1/3-yard cotton canvas, 1/2-yard 60"-wide waterproof canvas( OR cotton with interfacing applied), 1/3-yard of Decovil LIght, piece of ShapeFlex 101 or other medium-weight fusible interfacing.

The PDF is 61 pages long and contains Full pattern pieces, written step-by-step directions accompanied by full color photographs and diagrams.
